
Reviews are a funny thing. Everyone has a different opinion. Some are expressed professionally, regardless of what the reader thinks of a book, and some aren't. The ones that aren't are often very hard on authors who have worked so long to create something they are so proud of. So this morning, I received my first non-Goodreads/non-book blogger review, and my heart beat in my chest like a gorilla in a cage.
With so many different takes on my book out there already, I felt a bit anxious to open the link. But thankfully, this one was worth the moment of angst. It's so nice when someone gets what you and your editor worked so hard to achieve....
